"1980 vw rabbit convertibal karman it needs some work I put a 1.8 engine in the car and it ran for about 3 days and now it won't get fire and the fuel pump won't kick on I'm tired of messing with it its 5 speed 1.8 fuel injection. Ill sell it for $400. May trade just let me no what u got u can tex or calll any time.. It has new timing belt and water pump belt and termostat and new oil."
*assuming this was mid-tinker as lack of intake hosing might make for poor response.
I need the motor,5-speed, maybe the rad support, for the zombie vert in the yard. Upgraded to digifant, these came with cis originally. I think I could slay the gremlins. I've started with worse.

without the intake tubing it'll never run in any semblance of usability, lol

Moot point anyway, it's sold. He still has some wheels but 13" are not the most desired setup these days. Donk

Shame. The 1980 dashboard is one-year-only for the convertibles and much nicer than the later angular plastic setup.

They stuck with a decent dash layout for the convertibles. Ah well, keep searching for the Motor To Go In There.. Sometimes it's worth considering something like this versus engine, remove car, add $100.

Only 1980 convertibles had this dashboard - round gauges with the tachometer and the fake wood fascia. Glorious, I tell you. I miss my green 1980 "L" sometimes, but nostalgia's a funny thing.

My apologies for the confusion on my side, for I didn't include the picture of the dashboard. afraid it was a newer one, probably part of the engine conversion process. (it's digifant, the old one was CIS or carb.)
